Keiko – The break-through

Our lives are full of impressions that show their silhouette but which we can never clearly see. While the barrier that needs to be broken is often thin, we hesitate to actually tear it down even a little to get a truthful point of view of the other side. This image tries to convey the emotional impact of a break through such a barrier. The red fabric is concealing most of the body while the eye is being revealed through a hand-made hole, not to actually open a big passage but just to be able to see the other side. Just as in real life, the break-through is not hard to made, but has to be made by ourselves and often exposes us just as the other side. There is a risk of both sides feeling naked. Keiko – Listen to the stars

Visual impacts, just as these photos, are easy to look at but also easy to forget. the challenge is to attempt a multi-sensory perception of visual media in order to deepen the impression and fully enjoy a lasting emotion. The lights in this image, while representing the stars, are in the face of the model to symbolize the immediacy of the visual media we are exposed to but still do not manage to immerse ourselves into the experience. Keiko – Caught in a web of lies

While we try to escape the web, we need to tear apart the protective fabric that has changed our color and texture. Lies might make us look more colorful and cover up our naked vulnerabilities. Once the web starts to rip, it quickly turns into a mere husk as it’s not filled with the body anymore and thus exposes the superficiality created by it. Shot @ Art Space 呼応co-oh
